I’m Jesse Adametz. Nice to meet you.

With my extensive experience in data, reliability, and infrastructure engineering, my career has lead me on a path of continuous improvement, growth, leadership and most recently; the pursuit to design life for financial, time, and geographic freedom.

Having been immersed in technology from a young age — I remember the sounds of 56k modems and getting kicked out of chat rooms when the phone rang — I’ve found fulfillment in helping and growing others to solve problems they’re passionate about.

At Graphiq, I played a key role in forming the Data Engineering discipline and building the platform's data ingestion pipelines responsible for 25 billion curated relationships. Graphiq was acquired by Amazon to power Alexa in 2017.

It was around then I caught the bug for containers and Cloud Native apps/infrastructure, joining Invoca as a Site Reliability Engineer — where I would later restart my career into Engineering Management.

Most recently, the last few years at Twilio Segment, I’ve put all my combined experience to work; massively growing the team, designing organizations, forming new charters, and building platforms to deliver incredible developer experience and world-class reliability.

Admittedly, I find myself thinking a lot about my second mountain; what I’ll do next to achieve things I’m most passionate about. Perhaps you’ll subscribe and follow along on the journey :)

Abstract: The Software Catalog is core to everything Backstage does. The need for this data is often the first thing that prompts organizations to look for a solution. But how do you ensure it's populated and stays that way? What makes a good software catalog that users can trust and rely upon? We'll explore the research and practical solutions we've deployed at Twilio Segment to solve some of these challenges.
